Extracting Forceps English

English pattern extracting forceps are used to extract a tooth from alveolar bone. English Extracting forceps have a wide range of styles and configurations to adapt to a variety of teeth. 

Dental extraction forceps consists of a handle, a hinge, and a beak. The forceps are held by the handle. Handle can be straight or curved and can have serrations to hold the forceps firmly.

The Hinge is the joint portion which transfer the power of handle to the beak. English Extracting Forceps have a screw type hinge, this design allows the beak to be in-line with the forceps or at the angle. The Beak is used to hold the tooth, the beak can be concave and designed to fit the around the tooth at the junction of the crown and root.
